General Process information
The General Selection Process is for current 1st years, sophomores and juniors who are interested in joining the staff for the following academic year. The general process is considered the primary process. The selection process is designed to examine a candidates potential as a future RA. Each stage is very important in its own respect and candidates will be evaluated on his or her cumulative merit throughout the process. Be sure to read the job description and eligibility requirements for the position(s) in which you are interested.
Stage I- The Written Application
Applicants must be prepared to submit the following:
*responses to essay questions
*preference dates for Group Process
*name of a Faculty/Staff reference
*Commentary Form from current RA (will be provided once application is submitted)
Stage II- The Group Process
Applicant must arrive at the appointed Group Process event prepared to participate in small group activities and an individual interview. This is a job interview so candidates should treat it as such.
Stage III- The Professional Staff Interview
Candidates who are passed through to this round will be asked to sign up for a one on one interview with a Residence Life professional. Candidates will receive instructions via email. This is a formal job interview so candidate should treat it as such.
